Farmer achieved an average laying performance of 500 eggs using "Easy aviary"
For the first time, a Dekalb White organic flock achieved an average laying performance of 500 eggs within 100 weeks without moulting. The herd belongs to the family business of Michael Lux in North Rhine-Westphalia and apparently feels very comfortable in the Easy 100 aviary from Fienhage. The animals live free-range and are kept under organic guidelines. Good management, high animal quality and of course a high-quality aviary system made this above-average result possible.
Michael Lux only switched to egg production in September 2013. Before that, the farmer focused on milk and pig production. Accordingly, the chickens are now kept in a converted cowshed with natural ventilation. When the warm air rises through the ridge, a natural vacuum is created, which in turn allows fresh air to flow in.
The Fienhage company congratulates the Lux family on a remarkable result of 501.1 eggs per hen housed at the age of 100 weeks in free range and according to organic guidelines
