Plastic slats

Offering top quality eggs and maximum hygiene, this nest is modelled on the daily routine of parent birds, broiler breeders and laying hens. During the day in the main laying and breeding season, the nest is opened and offers the chickens humane laying facilities. They lay their eggs on a soft plastic mesh, designed to protect the eggs in a nest area of more than 1.30 sq. m. per section. The egg rolls a short way onto the egg conveyor below and is thus quickly and safely transported away. At night a moveable tipping floor is used to close the nest. An opposing lever mechanism allows any remaining eggs to roll slowly and safely onto the egg conveyor. The nest floor is then raised completely. The nest is now closed and the dust is automatically removed.
