Egg release nest

The special feature of the roll-away nest is the simple release system, with valves? designed to protect the feathers. The nest is particularly suitable for laying hens, parent birds and broiler breeders. The nest is available as an individual walled or double nest; depending on barn features it is also available as a single or double storey nest. It is made from film-coated, water-tight plywood, a material comfortable for the animals. The laying nests are fitted with an Astroturf mesh. Thanks to the grass-like, elastic lamellar structure very few eggs are crushed. The new-laid eggs roll safely along the mesh into the egg collection channel. From here, two separate egg collection conveyors transport the eggs into the front service room, punched or enclosed, depending on requirement, where they are collected manually or by a farmpacker.


The Astroturf® mesh is easy-care and can be removed for cleaning. The roof of the nest can be opened, to allow a good view of the nest and egg collection. 
A further important aspect of this nest is the solid plug-in system, which makes the nest easy to assemble and meets the hygiene requirements. The colour, shape and floor material (Astroturf®) of the nest have been selected in accordance with the most recent poultry equipment studies, in order to minimise the number of floor eggs. In collaboration with poultry farmers, farm workers and our technical department, we have designed the EcoLiberty Nest to provide a flexible system, in which maximum efficiency in barn use is achieved.
